Medical Update: 26 April 2006

Saw the doc and we went over the cardiac results and discussed family history. He told me that the numbers were nominal (Read: OK) and not to worry about what I HAD been concerned about in the last two weeks. He did say that he was going to scedule me for a stress test just to be sure, it isn't a big deal and will only help me in the long run, since diabetes, heart attack and stroke run all down my father's side of the family. He wasn't worried.

We talked about the cardiologist and his insistence on "Diet, Diet and more Diet!!" Change your diet, exercise and no smoking are his big three Must Do's... And I have lost 5 pound in the last two weeks which is good news because I can hit my target weight in the next month or so. With the warmer temps coming, I can get out and exercise and jog like I used to.

The next drug trial will not start until this Fall - 2006, so no med's change until at least October, there are new drugs coming online here then that I MAY try, (Read: maybe/maybe not) It is too much of a gamble to make any chages since I am dong so well. If it ain't broken then don't fix it.

Here are the latest numbers:

Viral Load: Not available yet
Cd4%: 32% (that is good)
Cd4 Absolute: 928
Cd8%: 47%

So it's all good. I see the doc again in 3 months

Jeremy, I'm glad your numbers are looking good. Your doc is right when he says your immune system is probably better than his! Good job!
