Banging my head...

It was so beautiful today - warm - sunny and no jacket required!! YAY! And they tell us tomorrow will be better. Hubby remarked this afternoon that maybe we will be able to open up the house this weekend for the first time in SIX MONTHS!! (get ready for it) My post titled Ode to the Silence, as we welcome back the noise into our lives.

I wrote to a young blogger last night who made a comment on his blog, that when you write, make sure you know what you are saying. That you don't offend your entire readership with one comment. And be sure that you don't openly offend someone who might help you get along on your journey. It is important that we understand that words can help and they can harm, and even in some cases words can kill. We should be responsible for what we say in regards to other people. Writing is a responsibility and responsibility comes with adulthood. I try to be a responsible writer. I share my opinion and I take criticism, and I might just disagree with you at times and if I don't like your comment it won't make it to air. Make sure you know what you are writing about, and that you are informed and understand why you took the position that you have on any given issue and be ready to defend it. Life is about the journey, what you learn along the path and who you meet along the way. Share your knowledge, food, water and shelter with those you see along the way. Because you never know when the "Master" will appear on the road and wouldn't you like to hear him say "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

My Reli:409 class rocked today!!!

We got to hear Prof. Oppenheim talk about his life and his studies and what did he talk about? The Autobiography... That most people become who they are within the (relationship model). That the "self" is always in relation to another, that who we relate to as children and young adults really builds who we are in our adult life. I got so much out of his lecture that I think now I can start rewriting my manuscript. I am confident that I can write a much more open and extensive "Narrative." I know how I am going to do that. I have learned alot in this class to benefit the rest of my life.

Excellent !!

******* Other Subjects *******

Sometimes, I don't know whether I should share advice when some of my boys are hell bent on self destruction. There is nothing that bothers me more than watching (read: reading) that one of them is sitting in the corner hitting himself in the head with a hammer.

2 men are sitting in a bar watching a 3rd man sitting in the corner beating his head with a hammer.

Man #1: Why is he doing that
Man #2: Because it feels so good

HIV is a difficult battle if you are not prepared to fight, and that fight doubles when one is not even on ANY meds for anything. One of my boys is in a depression pit that even I can't get him out of and I don't know what to do, but give him some hard, straight (read: certain) advice. And I know I am going to get shit for being so brutally honest, but it is high time to stop the fucking party life, the drugs and the sex. Dig yourself out of that fucking hole you are in and start getting better. It has been over a year and we have been around the track more than once. For God's sake, life is meant to be lived and enjoyed, not suffering and misery. I tell you, fear and pain are great motivators, and eventually when you get sick and tired of being sick and tired you will do something to get better. HIV is a mental ball game, once you learn that and conquer it then everything else is a walk in the park. Proper maintannance and personal care begin with acceptance of where you are and so begins the journey to get back into life and life at its fullest. What the brain tells the body, the body believes, so make sure you are giving yourself proper positive advice and proper care and goodness.

at the end of every day !!!

****** Homosexuals And Their Rights ******
Scalia: Gays Have No Constitutional Rights

This report came across the wire and it hit me - so I will post it for you to read. One must start to think about what the government is up to in regards to human rights - and more to the points the right of LGBTQ people. I think it is time for Americans to really get up off their asses and out of their easy chairs and start getting actively involved in the goings on in the government, because if we don't the government will continue to strip away diginty and rights from people.

(Washington) A tape of a speech given earlier this month by Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia has drawn the ire of LGBT civil rights activists who worry the landmark high court ruling on sodomy could be revisited.

Scalia rarely speaks to the media and seldom allows the press into speeches he gives but a recording of a March 8 address at the University of Freiberg in Switzerland was obtained by CNN.

In one portion of the speech to law students at the university Scalia brings up the issue of homosexuality.

"Question comes up: is there a constitutional right to homosexual conduct? Not a hard question for me. It's absolutely clear that nobody ever thought when the Bill of Rights was adopted that it gave a right to homosexual conduct. Homosexual conduct was criminal for 200 years in every state. Easy question."

He also told the students that foreigners waging war against the United States have no rights under the Constitution.

Earlier this month, the governor of South Dakota signed a law that makes it illegal for a woman to have an abortion. It is widely expected that the will be appealed, opening the way for the Supreme Court to revisit Roe v Wade.

A similar scenario could also send sodomy back to the high court.

In 2003, in a 6 - 3 decision, the Supreme Court overturned laws against sodomy, saying that states cannot make laws regarding the private sexual conduct of Americans.

Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist and Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas dissented.

"The court has largely signed on to the so-called homosexual agenda," Scalia wrote for the three. He took the unusual step of reading his dissent from the bench.

"The court has taken sides in the culture war," Scalia said, adding that he has "nothing against homosexuals."

With the high court more conservative than it was three years ago, LGBT leaders are worried the court may reverse itself.

"Justice Scalia stubbornly refuses to see that all Americans have a right to liberty and privacy under the law," said Human Rights Campaign President Joe Solmonese.

"Justice Scalia was dangerously out of step with Americans in 2003 when the Supreme Court decided this question and he remains so today.

"This is just the latest example of why it's so critical that fair-minded Americans think of the Court when they head to the ballot box. With the Supreme Court tipping further to the right, these sentiments could one day become reality," said Solmonese.

What is going on in America that nobody sees the writing on the wall? Or if they do they don't do or say anything to anyone. Like sheep and cattle you just sit there and await the coming slaughter. Does it not strike anyone as "Strange?" Does the thought of standing up scare you or does the mighty power of the U.S. Government to round up all the dissenters and send them to some camp somewhere to be a treated like criminals? Is this what America has come to a nation of peoples who are so scared to get vocal and do something decisive? It is time to vote out the party in office and put someone in the White House who will start doing things the right way instead of practicing skills of subterfuge and denial and working on a stack of lies.

Things are not going right and for the next 14 days, this started 2 days ago, special maneuvers are taking place, things are happening right beneath us and around us. So take notice and start listening to George Noory and Art Bell on Coast to Coast radio at night and hear what I am hearing, and then make your decision as to if you are going to sit back and let the government further abuse their powers and take more control of your lives. I know I am god damn sure that i would never go back to the U.S. for any reason, but to visit. And even that, if George W. Bush has any say, will become much harder for those people who don't have passports or I.D.'s with biometric identification on them.

Shit is going down, and you people down below the Northern Border better start paying attention to what is happening, before it is too late to do anything about it. Canadians need to pay close attention to what is going on in the U.S. and in Canada as our new Prime Minister meets with the Mexican and American Presidents in Cancun. Lots to be paying attention to. There is no time to be wishy washy about politics and government control and issues.

Rant end...
