Maggie May Tuesday !!

It's Tuesday ...

So I waited till after BB to enter my nightly epistle, and dammit if Ivette came in second place. I mean I am glad that none of the other girls were in the top 2, and Maggie did play it cool and on the sly, which of course means she played a little harder than Ms. Latina, but she at least got $50,000 dollars and that is alot of money, it's not half a million, but still, it's more money than I have right now. Good job Maggie. Congrat's.

The Pope and the President and the Superpowers ...

You know that just because both of these men are leaders of a superpower, that being the Vatican and Holy Mother Church and the United States, respectively, does not make you infallible or untouchable. Even IF you have freaking "Diplomatic Immunity." When President Bush was summoned to the Hague for crimes against humanity, the United States chose to ignore the subpoena, and just the same, I posted earlier tonight, I think that the POPE, should answer for the crimes of his minions, HOWEVER STRAIGHT they are. How many priests that have been indicted for "pedophilia" are GAY?

Answer the god damned question!!

You wanna play hard ball with us homosexuals, well let's play ball. For every gay man you remove from office, you remove one straight priest accused of pedophilia. You don't think that all that training that "His Holiness" had as youth in Hitler's Minions isn't playing out in his Papacy? No, you don't think do you? How could you use a word like that - that's hate mongering, and worthy of excommunication from the Catholic Church, well baby, an eye for an eye, your Holiness !!!

Let's rock the Catholic boat some shall we. I never wanted him to become pope, and I gave him my shadow of a doubt that he would rise and become a great Pope, but now, after seeing the "choices" he has made, he no longer has my Catholic Belief or support.

Just because you are a leader of a superpower does not make you immune from responsibility for your people. Stand up and face your accusers like a real HUMAN BEING. Why should leaders be immune from prosecution??? If the world tribunal can come to agreement and force this issue, then we might get some possible answers and real punishment for the MEN who DID ABUSE those children for ALL those years !!!

Por mi culpa, Por mi culpa, Por mi grand culpa, por eso ruega a Santa Maria Siempre Virgen, Los Santos y Los Angeles, ruega por mi ante Dios Nuestro Senor.

AND GOD WEPT !!!

What else have I got for you?

We are powerless over people, places and things.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference
Grant me patience with things that take time
appreciation for all that I have
"TOLERANCE FOR THOSE WITH DIFFERENT STRUGGLES"
and the strength to get up and try again, one day at a time.

Can you guess what my topic for tonight's meeting was? That one line has been repeating in my head for two days and so that's what we talked about. It was a good meeting. Sad though, we lost one of our friends to Aids this past week, and I did not hear about it until tonight, from one of my members, needless to say I was in shock. I sat and wept listening to my friend explain how her last few days had been. This is the first AIDS related death I have heard of in my "tight" community in as many years. And tonight I remain mindful of his passing, and I mourn his passing and I pray for his soul.

Eternal rest grant him,
and may perpetual light shine upon him.

It was a beautiful day amid talk from the weathermen of impending storms, the wind blew strong and swift all day today. The trees are starting to turn and there was a marked chill in the breeze as we remarked on our way to the church this afternoon. I got to see some friends earlier today that I have not seen in some time, we arranged to have lunch together after many weeks of planning. With all that is going on in my life, my plate is full.

I wanna talk to CHUCK !!!

What the hell is this, "do I wanna keep blogging?" What the hell other choice is there you silly man? Do you realize that some of us go to read your blog because we need a little "experience, strength and hope?" That maybe your writing means more to some of us than others? I cannot believe that you'd even think of giving up the blog? What were you going to do with your spare time, walk around your yard barefoot feeling the grass beneath your feet? Like you even take the time to walk around the yard barefoot feeling the grass beneath your feet !!! I oughta fly my happy ass to Seattle and throttle you about the head and neck with a WET NOODLE !!

I started writing again today, On the Book !! YES after a pause in my writing capabilities I sat down and pumped out another chapter of the book, it is called "people. places and things." And it speaks to the parents and family of those who are living with or diagnosed with AIDS and HIV. After long talks with my peers at University, they all highly suggested I write this chapter. So I have spent the better part of a few weeks outlining what I wanted to say, and I successfully completed that task today. I think that Tuesday afternoons will be dedicated to Book Writing. Since Peter has class all afternoon, I have the house and some silence to myself. Not to mention the HUGE amount of school reading I have this semester, I MUST assign some time to writing or else this book will never get finished.

Prayers ...

I don't ask this very often, but indulge me because We Need to do this.

Over there --------> you will find Andy's Cancer Club. ( Jayson's Father)
Andy is currenly undergoing Chemo and Radiation treatment for Cancer, and he is deep in the mix of "sickness" from all the treatment. So with all the other people praying for the Besserer family, I would ask you to keep them and Andy in your daily prayers. I pray he makes it through this - this would be week three, if memory serves. I know that Andy blogs when he can and he has a few entries from the past week. So go read and offer him your support and thoughts. A family that "Prays together Lives together." I know how painful powerlessness is.

So Jayson, Estelle, Andy and Kathy, you are in our prayers.

Second -------- > over there you will see Randall Friesen, another preacherman of Canadian heritage, go read and if you are so compelled, text him your thoughts or email him with your petitions. He is having a tough week, so let's lift him up in prayer as well.

And lastly...

Some new developments in the blog world...

Sam's stories ------> a must read for the women of my blog world
Dating Dummy, The Daily Sketch and MODIGLI ---> new relationships and LOVE !!

What could be better news than to see young budding love abound in the blogsphere ??

There is some FANTASIC photography over on the Dubai Chronicles. GO SEE !!

A Man of the Century...

Today we are mourning the loss of Simon Wiesenthal, at age 96. He was a survivor of the Holocaust who was credited with helping to bring more than 1,100 NAZI war criminals to justice in the decades after the genocide of the Jews in World War II. I posted the article earlier today.

Today in Carnegie Hall in NYC, a memorial service was held for the Late Peter Jennings.

" Three Good things about Peter's passing?

1.He still had his hair
2.He still had his good looks
3.He could still fill a room...

from Ted Koppell...

A career of 50 years, we remember Peter Jennings. I miss his nightly reports and I send my warmest regards and my heartfelt prayers and thoughts out to h is family.

And that's the kind of day it's been this the 20th of September 2005.
