In Memoriam Mr. John Rossy

One of the most popular figures of Montreal's Lebanese community has died suddenly at the age of 50. John Rossy, a part of the CJAD family for the past year, is survived by wife Connie, and three sons: Mark , Patrick and James.

Rossy was born in Montreal and raised in TMR, and spent his working life helping build his father's retail store chain. But his lifelong dream was to be a late-nite talkshow host....an opportunity he earned since 2004.

John Rossy passed away peacefully in his home, Wednesday, just two months after his 50th birthday.

Funeral services are to be held Monday at St. George's Christian Orthodox Church. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to Dans La Rue

I knew John Rossy - from the Radio and from the community. I have heard him share his life with young people at Project Pride. He will be missed. He always had good advice and shared everything that he had with his friends. I listened to the memorial show on the radio tonight, and my condolences go out to his wife and sons and his entire family. He was a champion when it came to young people in recovery. Our community has lost a man of great wealth, faith and life.

Montreal Late Night has another star shining down on us tonight. He will be missed.

ETERNAL REST GRANT HIM, AND MAY PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON HIM.
